Maybe it’s time to be more specific, ask innovative questions ?

Why ? Because you will then get genuine, unprepared response from the candidate.

In order to do that, your person spec mentions (on p.5 in your handbook): “Must have the ability to demonstrate how he/she can cope with a difficult situation”

-> Please now prepare your job interview questionnaire on p.9 in your handbook :

A/ Review your job description: summarise the general purpose job description, and prepare yourselves to present the job to the interviewee; that will be your introduction

B/ Write down your main, general questions

C/ Summarise the specific purpose job description; what specific questions would you like to ask? Write down these “typical” questions

D/ Work out a scenario to test your interview on his/her ability to demonstrate how he/she can cope with a difficult situation (See assessment for an example); then summarise it so as to make your presentation of the scenario/situation very clear to him/her -> at this stage just write down your idea (if you have any) – we will finish the work on this in TD5/6

E/ Prepare to recap the interview: how would you like to close ?
