Assessment

Back we are this semester with new objectives, hence some new marking; you will get 2 marks this time, on a 50-50 basis, as follows:

Written Assessment: 50% of your total mark

• Podcast: 15 % of the written mark. On 3 various, distinct occasions, you will listen to a podcast and try to summarise its first 2 minutes. Each time, you will be able to hear the podcast 3 times.
  I will keep the best mark/results, out of the 3 exercises.
• Written exam: 35 % of the written mark. checking your progression in grammar, and your written expression.

Oral assessment: 50% of your total mark

VIDEO: Your brief
This video will cover two topics:
A/ You will be filming a conversation between the members of your group, explaining to one another what path you have chosen for the years to come (will you opt for ergonomics in sports or ergonomics at work?).
B/ 2024: Olympic Games in Paris… and its surroundings. Actually, it seems Reims will be hosting some events. Can you tell me more please? Please also submit a written file including and summarising your findings.

What’s different this time?
Semester 5 allowed us to assess your spoken English – we can build on and improve it: you will be working on some speaking exercises and on 3 occasions, I will ask you to record an audio, as you complete these exercises.
